Poetry
The warp and weft of a golden thread woven from shadow, flame, and truth.
Like a solitary firefly, I glow in the dark, because all it takes is just one tiny spark.
No mirror or echo reflects the unknown, except from the source of the rhythm and tone; the eternal signal cast into the sky in fire and shadow between you and I.
''Come, sit with me,'' she said with a smile. ''Let's watch the world burn together for awhile.''
A rumble in the distance grows as darkness fills the sky; storm clouds like a million crows - the void that learned to fly.
So, now what courses through my veins? Warm light and a truth that remains.
Never thought that I would find my dreams have all been left behind.
There, I found that little voice had grown so big and strong. It told me to ignore the world. It showed me - they were wrong.
I finally cracked; couldn't last one more night - So I gave you the signal. I gave you my light.
Walking away seemed so easy at first, until I looked back once again. That fatal mistake - my eternal curse, for all my intentions were slain.
